You know I would really like to say yes. In fact I often think that peados and murderers and rapists etc should be used for medical science instead of animals. The only problem is that even in this day and age mistakes are still made. Rarely I admit, but that wouldn't be much consolation to the person who was unjustly hanged! So I have to say no....... unless there was an absolutely fool proof way of determining guilt, which there never will be. Although if I met the bloke who messed about with me when I was 5, I'd be tempted. At least I'd know I was right!

Is it really necessary to WATCH a hanging? Anyone remember Madame Defarge sitting at the bottom of the guillotine in "A Tale of Two Cities"
How gruesome, and morbid!
What... you want to watch and make SURE they're dead?
Let them just get a lethal injection and taken off God's Good Green Earth.
The punishment is the death. You shouldn't need to torture them in retaliation - that's why THEY'RE them, and WE'RE on this side of the fence. If you need to torture "So they can feel what's it's like" - well the whole point is that they DON'T feel what's it's like and only brings some poor soul down to their level by being designated the "State Torturer/Hangman".
Please see where that kind of madness will lead you.

I think that death is an easy way out, instead I think life in prison creates more suffering and punishment for these evil people. I also think that castration is a good idea as alot of these killers are also abusers, castrating them may also put people of doing it in the first place. Hanging them would just give them a quick exit and not make them face up to their crimes.

We should bring back hanging full stop.
What was it that Chinese President said when questioned on the hanging of 10 murderers a few years ago in China?
'For every man hung 100 people were educated'
I personally think it should be a slow painful death.
Force feed them on Pot Noodle for a month.

Why not bring hanging back for a wide range of offences. Determine a sentence based not only on the crime but also on the value of the criminal to society. Hence a skilled person having committed a serious crime would be sent to work in a prison factory but a wasteful eater could be hanged.
I am not so certain about child killers. When in London I often see obnoxious children that I would love to introduce to Myra Hindley and Ian Brady.

Of course. If there is no doubt that some lowlife has killed or interfered with a child then they should be put down, but the child's family should have the choice of how and where. I would suggest something along the lines of piercing their eyeballs with a fork, dripping vinegar into them and rubbing salt in. A slow painful death is what they deserve.

Yes, and we should bring it back for lots of other violent crimes. It would prevent many of the crimes from ever happening if they knew they were going to be hung.

There should be a law that says if you kill your kids you die in the same manner in which you killed them! It's time we got tough on child killers, period!
