yeah it's fun and sometimes they are easier to talk to than friends you see everyday. but you should make sure that you have friends in real life too that you can hang out with

I think it's perfectly fine and I do indeed have such friends. However, as with any person you meet (online or otherwise), it would be wise to be wary of them while first getting to know them and don't spill all right at the get go. I have plenty of online friends...some I may never have the chance to meet in 'real life' but it makes them no less of a friend and a couple of years ago, I did have the opportunity to meet some of my internet friends in real life after chatting for a couple of years. One can never have too many friends.

I think it is fine as long as you have healthy friendships with people that you see on a regular basis too. I belong to two onling groups. I have known some of these women for 3 years and have been through everything with them. I don't see anything wrong with it.

No, because all you know they are planning to rape you or something else. You should know people that you meet online, that's ok just make sure that your mositive that they are who they say they are. It can be very dangerous just to know people on line, because there are some really crazy people in the world.

There isn't anything wrong with having "online" friends as long as your careful. Theres alot of wierd ones out there. lol. I don't believe in online "dating" but to each their own. Its important of course to make friends face to face in your own community/town etc. Online friends are benefitial tho too. Its easier to open up to them and reveal things that sometimes we aren't as comfortable confronting with our friends we have here (in your area, w/e, you get the pic!) lol. But there isn't anything wrong in my opinion. As long as you don't become someone who consumes all their time online making friends. You still should get out and meet regular ppl the old fashioned way. ;)

Sure, it can be kept casual (kinda like co-workers) while at
the same time it's some one that's somewhat familiar with
your likes and dislikes which leads to interesting confabs.
You don't even have to know "what are you going to wear
tomorrow" (unless you're doing the webcam bit)

Why not.At leased you always have someone to talk to.I think the only downfall is you can't do things together. But if you really need someone to talk to and no one is around then you still have your friends on the Internet.

yes i think you should because if you need someone to talk to about your friends and if you talk to one of your other friends they will tell someone then its a good thing to have friends online so you can talk to them instead

Yes to me, since I have several. If you trust them enough you can talk about anything and you really don't know each other. It also breaks up the everyday norm..
