Is almost 40 years old and is a 7th grade teacher who smokes pot every day and on the weekends hangs out with his friend smoking pot and playing video games or going to strip clubs???
Ladies, would you want this guy as a boyfriend?
Guys, feel free to answer too.

Thank god I'm not a 7th grade teacher!

Actually, I have to say that he doesn't sound like promising relationship material, but I have a feeling you got involved with him anyway. He's probably a very caring, intelligent soul who doesn't feel the need to have lofty goals.

I'll bet he showed you lots of attention and won you over, then, feeling secure that he had reeled in the woman he loved, went back to doing what he had always been doing. This is very typical of how men behave. The reason is that they choose a partner who they perceive will fill in a part of their current life that is missing.

Women, on the other hand, choose a partner not only for their current needs, but also for the future. Usually that means they find someone who isn't perfect yet, but has the potential to become the provider/companion/friend/lover/partner that they think will make their lives complete somewhere down the line.

This is why there is so much conflict in relationships. Is either side right? Well, yes, from their own perspectives, they're both right. Is either wrong? Yes, from the other's perspective, they're both missing some important understanding of the expectations in the contract they agree to. Is there a way to resolve this? Hell if I know.

But in answer to your question, no, that is not the kind of guy most women want as a boyfriend. The question is, can you live with that?

I think he's still a kid at heart but enjoying the fact that he's a man and can do as he pleases. He's enjoying life. If you're thinking about getting in a relationship with him, don't omit the possibility that it may be difficult for him to "accept" you into his agenda. It may seem trivial to him, but he is attached to his habits and esp his friends and video games...The only way to "figure him out" and get a feel for him is to hang out with him when he thinks its ok, go where he goes if he wants you to go...A mans character cannot be judged by his actions...so figure him out for yourself before you accept common judgements...hope that answers your question

Heck no! If he's doing that on the weekend, what kind of influence is he on his 7th graders? He sounds like he's still trying to be a teenager.

Not boyfriend potential. Not future husband potential. Not father potential. Certainly should not be teaching our children. I would report this person to his school district. That's appalling behavior for an educator.

It depends on what you like... personally, I wouldn't because I would not be able to fit into his smoking hobby. If you really like him, watch how he treats his mother, if he treats her good then he is a good man but if he treats her like crap then he's probably not the one for you. If you cant get around to meeting his mother then, what is the harm to getting to know him? Unless hes a jerk

if you don't like it, leave. (is his "friend" a stripper ? a guy with that lifestyle needs to be welding offshore. ) Also.....You could take out the " 7th grade teacher" part, and insert doctor, lawyer, politician, cop, and don't forget our preachers !
