i am just wondering i came acrossed a metal taste in your mouth a symptom of pregnancy and was just wondering why this occurs in pregnant women and who all had this symptom

Oh my God I hate this horrible taste in my mouth. Everyday, day in and day out! I can not wait till it goes away. My doctor told me it is because of hormones. I read to drink lemonade or eat something citrus to get rid of it for a short time. So I make some vegetables and drench them in lemon juice and it does work for me for a short time at least. Good luck!

I was very low in iron and never experienced any metal taste in my mouth. I have heard that it is a common symptom, and I'm sure it's just from hormone fluctuations. I was very fortunate to not experience any morning sickness and have been able to keep working without a problem.

I had it with my second..I hated it!! It sucks to try and eat when everything tastes like metal...I was so glad when it finally went away!! It`s not from low iron because I didn`t have thatwith my second but I was low in iron with my daughter...I`m 19 weeks pregnant with #3 and haven`t had it!! (Knock on wood)!!

I don't believe it is low iron because I don't have low iron and I have experienced this as well. I think it has to do with all the hormonal and bodily changes. Definitely nothing serious. I don't know for sure either sorry.

You are lacking iron, have your doctor check that and call her right away, but it could be something more serious, I really recommend you call your doctor now and get seen today.
