I really doubt it. WHile it is possible for Canadian satellite TV to be picked up in the US, it is illegal for the satellite companies to sell subscriptions across the border. So the bar would have to have a pirate card, or an illegal subscription to pick it up. Doubtful for a public venue, especially where hockey is not a big thing, anyway.

You would probably be more likely to find a Canadian who had a subscription and took his equipment to San Diego for the winter. That is a "grey market" subscription, because the subscription to the Canadian is legal, but receiving it in the US may not be legal.

However, it is not illegal under US law, only under Canadian law.

Confusing enough?
