That's a blast from the past. Honestly, I remember the show, but not the details. I remember reading a novelization -- think it was by Murray Leinster.
They were from some other planet.
From the novel, they were having people build alien weapon parts, presumably to be assembled and used in a hostile takeover. They were also keenly interested in earth-type biology.
Their spacecraft resembled a popular "UFO" photo of the period.
I don't remember any details about propulsion or how far they traveled, sorry.

The Invaders were from a dying planet "out there somewhere" -- no distance revealed, nor precisely where.

They were here to take over the planet -- hence the name "Invaders".

Their spaceship was the classic flying saucer, but no details on the propulsion were ever revealed. Check out the pics here:
