I have PCOS myself . First of all you need to have a fertility work up , IE : blood tests , endometrial biopsy ( because your periods are erratic your chances of cancer increase) . Secondly they need to regulate your period so they can monitor your ovulation cycle , thats if you ovulate. You may not even be ovulating this is called anoovulation. Once they have done a full work up , this can take 3-6 months , they may start you on metformin aka glucophage. Its an insulin sensitizing drug used in diabetic patients but can aid in getting pregnant . secondly they may start you on clomid , a medication that stimulates ovulation. If you have 5 unsuccessful cycles of clomid they may refer you to a fertility specialist. Be patient , your not going to get pregnant over night , PCOS is a complicated disease and can be frustrating . Be patient and do what they ask and you will get through this ok . Good Luck !
