Er, um, come again......................................... Why the focus on dying sweetie? I think the relationship has done died, so I'd clearly shift that train of thought, and begin to just realize, that when you die, "THAT'S ALL FOLKS".......
So better, while you're still living, to find someone that you'd "just die for" or "I just couldn't live without" then where your current relationship is taking you.
And, one more thing.....................I think you need to develop some concrete friendships and make good connections there. That way you guarantee NOT to die alone EVER. Relationship or not.

I am happily married and I think living with a special person in your life is the best possible way to spend your life. HOWEVER, if you are with the wrong person or in a broken relationship, it could be the worst possible way to live your life. Relationships that have serious problems or are simply a personality mismatch are miserable. You will not be happy and you will make everyone around you less happy.
If the only reason you are in a relationship is so you wont die alone, I would say that is definitely not enough. Being alone is not the worst thing in the world. Living the rest of your life in turmoil would be far worse in my opinion.
I think you have two choices. Work on your relationship and fix the problems if possible (it will take both trying). Or, move on and hope you find another relationship again. Maybe you will and maybe you wont, but either way you will be better off.

well this could really go either way. If you are happy and the other person is happy, then yes. But if the relationship is full of anger or dishonesty then, NO. Most married couples that grow old together, in the past centuries have remained to gether for the convinince is what i have seen. You don't see them "love" each other, or exchange those loving looks. This is very sad, just how happy are they? A relationship should be build on more than just fear of being alone...........sorry.

No.
I had a friend who was in a relationship that lasted from college through two rounds of grad school. At 26, she thought she would be an old maid if she broke up with him (he was mean to her). Finally she did. And you know what? She's found someone even better for her.
Don't stay in it if it's not good. You WILL find another fish in the sea.

Dawg-NO!!!! The only reason to stay in a relationship is because of mutual love and respect not because of the fear of dying alone. You came in this world alone, so it is not written in code that you can't die alone.

No, not in my opinion. Even when not with a 'partner' under the roof, one does not have to die alone....there are always family and friends!!

No, it isn't. It's unfair to you and to the other person to stay in a relationship with someone that you do not love.

no because you should be happy with the person that you are with ,because you like them and not for the reason that you are scared to be alone.

Add up the positives and negatives, and make an informed decision about your life.
