HELL NO! DOUBLE HELL NO!

If by "news" youre referring to CNN, ABC, FOX, MSNBC, etc, then no.

The news is supposed to be about facts, just the damn facts.

Instead we have four or five "news" channels playing a spin game between themselves for ratings. Its pitiful. I mean, CNN going 90 minutes without a commercial break because Anna Nicole Smith died, what the hell? Thats not news! And its certainly not worthy of the level of attention they gave it for more than a week!

And FOX, the ratings-whores, are even more pathetic. I wont even go into their whole "fair and balanced" bullsh*t.

MSNBC spends its days kissing the democratic parties a$$ with Olbermann at the front lines with his never-ending speeches (which are very badly written and very very boring to listen to). Thats not news either, its preaching to the Choir, just like Fox.

None of these are news, theyre spin stations. There is no such thing as news in the US anymore. Everyone is in a spin competition with one another. Its pitiful. I dont watch the news anymore. I only watch the Daily Show with Jon Stewart, Hannity and Colmes and sometimes the O'Reilly Factor (all three I watch for entertainment only!)

My news I get from other places, that I feel I can trust.

I don't. Particularly the television news. The principal business of the TV news is to keep you in your seat during the commercials. Therefore, it is incumbent upon the writers of the news to cover only "action-packed" stories. You have the tragic fire, the poor dead child, the happy reunion of a family with its pet, ad nauseum. The only thing accurate is the report of the scores of sport contests.

I believe that the news is based on some initial truth, but the related details are often distorted in order to appeal to a specific target audience..

To many outlets to believe.
I do however believe CNN is decently reputable.

However Fox News is more corrupt than our white house..

Hi, this is Chad at the Crisis Center. We appreciate your call. We suggest to stop watching mainstream news immediately. People who work there are blood sucking vampires. Thanks for calling and have a nice day.
