Well, some people just tend to hit the keyboard harder than others, I have two laptops and it annoys me when anyone does that. I am more concerned because it is hard on the computer. They may also be in a bad mood, or annoyed with the computer.

it depends on the type of keyboard they are using and on what assignment they are working on. sometimes, if someone is just surfing the web, you dont hear the keybaord much but if someone is chatting and all worked up they will type fast and so it sounds really loud. sometimes they are speaking to someone onilne and mabye angry or really happy so they try to type really fast to get their point across and so the keys move faster than those who are not chatting and so it sounds like they're hitting the keyboard really hard.

There could be several causes. The type of keyboard, differences in how they type, etc.

I have noticed, though, that people who have been taught how to type 'properly' type quieter because they are using the pads of their fingers instead of the full weight of their fingers.
