He does believe in God, but just his appearance I guess makes people think otherwise. Some people think that if show any skin at all or wear black that makes you a devil worshipper. I think anyone who thinks that he is anti God does not know the first thing about him.

It goes with his reputation, in his earlier days he would bite the head off of a live bat at his concerts and people believed that was a sadistic thing to do and that someone who believed in god wouldn't do that.

Probably because he bills himself as the "Prince of Darkness" (check his website -- he sells t-shirts that call him the prince of darkness). It's all part of the showbiz stuff.
