Most of the time, while getting it on, I get dry easily which leads to soreness and slightly swollen labia. And then I'm miserable for the next couple hours and lose the mood. I try to use lubrication when and before this happens, but it doesn't last very long. Am I just not turned on enough or is that just how my body is going to function? What lubrications work best?

Well, no personal issues with my fiance. But he is a little quick to trigger and I guess I might be trying to get the most out of the time I got.

Well, if you and your fiance are using condoms, you could be experiencing dryness due to the latex.
Antibiotics, cold/sinus medications, cigarette smoking, the use of synthetic lubrications, tampon use, and douching can also cause vaginal dryness.
The Bartholin's Gland is the gland in the vagina that produces the secretions that lubricate and moisten the vagina. Many women under the age of 30 are prone to these glands becoming clogged and the blockage can form a cyst (Bartholin's Gland Cyst), which while is relatively not dangerous, can be extremely uncomfortable.
As to your question about lubrications, the best are water based (as they will not compromise the integrity of latex condoms) and lubrications with no sort of perfume or scent.
You should also refrain from douching because the process of douching disrupts the natural chemistry in your vagina and can cause dryness and irritation.
My advice to you is to see your gynecologist regarding this situation. Your vaginal dryness could be a sign of something that is underlying.
Best of Luck and I hope this helps!

KY makes a water based lube called silk. It comes in a bottle with a blue top. There is also another one that they have been advertising on tv lately called intrigue also by KY they say that it is the longest lasting lube yet. Last for hours supposedly. I have not tried the new one yet but I do use the silk as I had a hysterectomy a little more than a year ago and I get dry pretty easily also.
Don't think that there is anything wrong with you because you don't stay wet. Women need much more stimulation than men do. There are a few things you can try to arouse yourself while in the throws of passion (as long as he doesn't completely freak out of course) You could always use a vibrator to stimulate yourself while he is inside of you. This works for both of you because the vibrations get to him too. lol You both get satisfied and you are not left in pain.
Or, you could avoid the use of the lube and do a heavy amount of foreplay before and during sexual activity. It never hurts to try. Good luck Girl. I wish you guys the best.

Astroglide is good, but your problem may not be physical. Do you feel insecure about your body, have trust issues with your significant other, or suffer from depression? I had the same problem when I was with my ex. I thought it was a physical problem. It wasn't, it was how I felt about him. I broke up with him and no longer have this problem. Your mind had more control over your body than you may think.

There is a lubricant called Replends that you use inside your ********. I is effective for a longer period of time(2-3 days).

What kind of lube are you using?
Water based tend to absorb quickly, try a silicone based one, they are really slick and do the 'job' well, some women do get irritation from silicone based lube, so try it on your inner arm first, just rub a bit in, wait a minute and see what happens!
And your problem is a normal one, it happens to alot of women!

Use as much lube as often as you like or need it and don't skimp on it. Astroglide is great but even store brand of KY will work but the key is USE IT!

Try having the your bf go down on you before having sex. Hopefully you will orgasm from the oral sex and make sex from that point more enjoyable due to the fact that you are not so dry. Plus this is will allow another orgasm!

Have your partner do what I do to mine: have him eat you out for a long time beforehand. You'll be nice and wet for a long time, most especially if you cumm.
