If I plug an apple IPOD to a computer that does not have itunes installed does it still charge? it says do not disconnect... i dont know if its getting charged or not !

Yes, If you don't have iTunes and you plug your iPod in to the computer, it will still charge. All it needs is the power form your computer and a hook-up and you are good to go!

it charges. I don't know why it says do not disconnect though, just wait a while and it should say charging.

yes, it does charge when it connects to usb port.
