a) there is no difference, when mathematically calculated, between taking 100000 cents and multiplying it by 50%, or getting it converted into 50 cents.
b) dividing by 50 and dividing by half is not the same thing. when u divide a number by the fraction 1/2, you actually multiply it with 2.
c) a dollar is double of 50 cents. there to convert 100000cents into dollars u have to divide it by 50*2, or 100
therefore, 100000/100=$1000

To convert cents to dollars, simply move the decimal point two places to teh left getting:
100,000 cents = 1,000 dollars.
1000*2 = 2000 50 cent pieces.
100,000 cents/50 cents = 2000 half dollars or 50 cent coins.
