i suppose this is too finite...will he even die? Will he make it to the end? What are your thoughts on this very complex character?

I believe that Dumbledore already made plans with snape( who agreed reluctantly) to let Snape kill him because he felt that Snape remaining alive and trusted by Voldemort was much more inportant than what he can contribute to becausel i ALSO believe that there was something up with that arm of his... i think he was gonna die from it or at least get terribly ill.... i doubt that Dumbledor e wouldnt have known about what was going on becaus even SNAPE told Harry the DD was a much better Legilimens than him. i mean did anybody READ the way JK described their confrontation??? all i know is that Snape is innocent. and if he dies it will be HEROICLLY!!!! ...Draco's always good in my heart as well... though JK claims hes a baddy....

Would be an interesting twist if he ended up a hero - but then Dumbledore is so wise and he's trusted him for a long time. Maybe Snape was under a curse when he killed Dumbledore. Or the binding spell he had with Malfoy may have affected stuff. Can';t wait for new book!

If Snape does die, I think he'll die a hero or at least a good guy. He's gonna save Harry or something to prove to the order and everyone that he's still a good guy. We really dont know, we just have to wait!

I think that Dumbledore and Snape has some sort of deal where if need be, Snape would kill Dumbledore. Snape is a Legilemens, and can therefor read minds. I think that he can possibly read "He Who Must Not Be Named"'s mind without being found out. He's a hero in his own, odd way.

i never thought of snape dying. if he does die, i don't think he'll die a traitor or a hero, but we will find out why dumbledore trusted him so much and if he does die it will be a noble death instead of a celebrated one. snape is a confusing character b/c he fooled voldemort into thinking he wasn't spying for dumbledore and he showed no fear. i'm sure that's gotta be hard when you're standing in front of voldemort. i kinda hope he doesn't die or if he does that he and harry solve their differences.

that's a really good question! I think that there's more to Snape than we just saw in the last book. I think that if Snape's traitor image was solid, it would have been better supported in the book, so I think that we will see a big surprise in the next book--at least I hope!

He will die and he is a hero because once u think about it he saved the life of one his students even though he isn't always good. I think, since he(severus) did tell dumbledore about his vale to Draco's mom, dumbledore told him to kill him because what matters more to dumbledore is the well being of his students. Sure it was hard for Severus to do it but dumbledore told him. Well that what I think.

he should die a hero or else the whole world would eternally hate him for tormenting harry. lol

but i really think he would do something heroic in order to redeem his character in the first 6 novels and give justification to dumbledore's trust in him.

i don't care if he lives or dies, i just want to know why dumbledore trusts him a lot.

my best guess is that either he or wormtail would save harry from voldemort.

I don't think Snape is a bad guy or DD would not let him in Hogwarts.
And i don't think he will die in book 7

Hero. I cannot believe that Dumbledore was fooled by him over all these years. He was too wise to trust a traitor.
