I am only a brief fan of wrestling, but as I watch ric flair now, I want to know if his wrestling style has always been the same. Basically, he is still wrestling today, but he has been going since the 70's and has had matches all through the 80's and 90's to the present day. What I want to know is, has he always been this way, he is known today as "the dirtiest player in the game" but when did he actually get this tag? Has he always used eye pokes and low blows? Or is this just recently since he came back, I have only seen flair wrestle since his return in 2001. Basically what I want to know is, has he always kicked and punched people in the nuts to win matches, did he do this in the 70's and 80's or did his style change at all, how long has he had his "dirtiest player in the game" gimmick, any help would be appreciated, thankyou.

as far as bending the rules he's the same but flair knows his career is coming to an end so that's why you get nothing but chops, he is trying to put the other guy over

In the 80's he could put on a great match if he had the right opponent such as Ricky Steamboat, but since he has been a bad guy most of his career he is expected to bend the rules. At no time was he ever a top notch in ring performer to the level of Bret Hart or Kurt Angle, but he was better than most.

Flair was definitely smoother in his executions earlier, but has always been the dirtiest player in the game. He doesn't land flat on his back due to an injury in an airplane crash back in the day.

Pretty much. He has always been that way. I have always liked him because he could go toe to toe with anyone. At one time he was known as the 60 minute man. He had numerous matches that lasted 1 hour or more. Loved those.

Back then he wrestled to his abilities and rarely cheated. He didnt need to, but sometimes he did, not as much now. He was probably better than all of the other wrestlers, and he knew it. 16 times a world champion is all you gotta know.
