We live in a piece of **** house right. Well all of our windows leak really bad and the roof in the kitchen leaks. Our front door has gaps that you can see the light from outside when your inside and they keep on fixing the front door but they don't do it right. we have called and called about our windows and all the matnence guy says is they have to get a hold of the owner to see what he wants to do with the windows. Also our roof in the master bedroom is caving in. Can we sue them for not wanting to fix the windows. We can't have a dog (a black lab) either. The owner doesn't want to fix anything in this place. Is there a way we can win if we sue them? Please help! Oh and another thing is the outside of the house is all worped really really bad. when it gets warm I'm so afraid that there is going to be mold growing. I told the landlords about it and all they said was that if we are worried about it then we need to think about moving to a different location.

Contact the local rental board association for your area to help. You might be able to get some back rent back but it should be a cause to break the lease.

You could withhold rent until the landlord fixes it. But make sure you have it documented every time you complained. ON THE OTHER HAND...If the house is that bad - why waste your time, health and money - just get over it and move. No one is holding you there

chances of suing the landlord to fix the problems very slim unless their are server housing code violations

suing to be released from the lease and find another place good probability, you need to start to document with pictures and call logs all the problems and detail all the times you asked for repairs to be made

It really depends upon the lease agreement that you have signed. You nest option is to just move. You had to have known it was a **** hold when you moved it.
