I think Farve is one of the greatest of all time I personally think he should retire though. He isn't what he used to be. I think it would be great if they win the Superbowl this year so he can retire a winner, but I don't think it will happen just my opinion.

With a number one reiver and all the young guys having another year under there belt the packers could go all the way even without Ahman.

Shabtownie, How do you figure the defense is subpar???? AJ Hawk is great young player , but he isn't the best player on that defense. Nick Barnett is considered one of the top LB's in the leauge. Did you forget about Charles Woodson and Al Harris. Two of the better corner pairs in the league. Maybe you forgot that Packers ARE THE YOUNGEST TEAM IN NFL AND HAVE INVESTED IN FUTURE. HOW ABOUT Aaron Kampan leading ALL DEFENSIVE LINEMAN in sacks and tackles in THE NFL.

Brett Favre is a gunslinger who won 1 Super Bowl under the tutelage of Mike Holmgren and the decline of the Dallas Cowboys. His TD to INT ratio over the past oh, 10 years has been terrible. In a playoff game against the St. Louis Rams I believe he threw 7. You can't force the ball with the speedy defensive backs in this league.

It is not so much he needs a #1 receiver, but Wr's who run the right routes, every year he deals with rookies, besides Donald Driver, most of his interception are from blown routes.

Farve needs to hang up the cleats and bring out the clipboard as a QB coach. The guy has declined, give the guy a number one reciever and watch farve throw it over his head or behind him. I loved farve in his days but he needs to hand over the job and stay with the team as a QB coach. Nothing against farve but I think he has gotten a little too old to hang with the young guns that football has now.

No he is not at the top of his game. Hes now just a decent QB. You could say that about almost any QB except Rex Grossman. That if you gave them a #1 receiver theyd be great. Duante Culpepper had Randy Moss when both were at the top of their game they dont have any rings. Palmer and Johnson have been together for a few now no rings and the toughness of the AFC I dont see them getting one. Its more than just a great offense you need the D and Green Bay needs a few more to be that good. Brett should retire he only keeps going for the fame and records. Retire graciously before he gets hurt. Peace out..............

I'm a fan of the Packers and I've got to tell you I'm really really hoping they pick up Jarrett. Calvin will be gone. I know alot of people are saying Ginn but he just doesn't have the intangibles that Jarrett has. Every big game I've seen Jarrett in he has stepped up big time. Even in the game they lost to Texas Jarrett made an incredible catch and score. Against Michigan who have some of the top corners in the NCAA he scorched them. His numbers are way better than Ginn. I don't care if his 40 time is less than Ginn, Jarrett has proven himself to step up in the spotlight. Also he started 3 years at USC he can contribute right away.

He is not even like Williams. Jarrett has more speed and great moves.

Please Packers pick Jarrett.

a number 1 wr would help green bay but not answer its questions. they just lost there running back so farve doesnt have much protection to throw. also farves success relys on the defense

alrighht i agree Brett is by far one of teh best qb's of all time, he is just flat out amazing but lately he hasn't had that number one top reciever to get the ball to, he did have javon walker who in his rookie year was favre's number on reciever! but dont forget the packers still have donald driver he still produces good numbers if the packers can get that game breaking reciever theire offense would explode, and donald driver would have a break out season, btu as far as the packers defense goes they are too weak on that end i mean at the end of the day youre D has to pick up some stops and unfortunately for the packers they havent been able to do that. give the packers a number go to reciever and a more solid defense and you will see how good they can be!!!

Favre is still a great QB, and is one of the best to ever play. I think if you give him a true #1 WR, they might make it to the 2nd round of the playoffs, thats about it. I don't even think they would win their division.
