My recycle bins stay empty. Nothing ever goes into my recycle bin, even when I first delete something!!!!

Right-click on the Recycle Bin and choose Properties. Then, under the Global TAB, un-check the box that says "Do not move files to the Recycle Bin..."

OK out and your done.

First off if you delete large files they automatically skip the recycling bin.

Second right click on the "Recycling Bin" and go to properties. Make sure that "Do not move files to recycling bin. Remove files immediately when deleted" is not checked.

Third if you are just looking at the recycling bin graphic and it doesn't change it could just be a display issue... that happens to me all the time.

If You wish to configure recycle bin, just right click the recycle bin icon in the desktop, followed by properties.

There's a check box which says, "Do not move files to the recycle bin. Remove files immediatelly when deleted." If uncheck, your file is directly deleted from HardDisk rather than entering the Recycle Bin.

Actually Files which are deleted, are not really deleted. Deleted is cause when the first character of the filename is rename with a ASCII Code, hence they are recognise by the OS as deleted files, although the content is not deleted. As time pass, the content of the file is replace by othe file content.

If you're intrested in undeleting file, You can use software such as:
1. Tune Up Undelete (comes with Tune Up Utilities (Shareware)
2. Norton Undelete (comes with Norton Utilities (Shareware)

they're no longer likely deleted or erased. The flags get knocked down. The documents are nonetheless there, yet with out the flags as markers the laptop can not locate them. the only thank you to truly do away with a document is to re-write over it and obliterate the information. The recycle bin is actual yet another folder the place all your 'deleted' documents are saved in case you ever have a transformation of ideas and choose for to repair them. once you empty the recycle bin, you "delete" them, yet this merely knocks the document markers down, it would not erase the information. as we talk when you delete a document it continues to be on the stress, the laptop merely can not see it to any extent further and the gap is freed up so the laptop can re-write over it.

This depends on the settings on your computer. It is possible to set it so that it bypasses the recycle bin and gets immediately deleted.
