What happened to the Wildcard on American Idol?

They use to do a wildcard show. Does anybody know what happened to that?

i think they just did that cause someone got removed fromthe show ,like frenchie and that guy who had a criminal history.

Heyyyy i forgot all about the wild card!! They should really bring that back and make it Sabrina. They only did that for like the first 2 seasons.
