it's true that in a lot of states, you are considered an "adult" at 17.

however, i find it interesting that you still have to have your parents' consent to see a doctor or get treatment in an emergency room?

They just want to know where they can drag you back from when you leave.

The laws in most states are 18 to move out.

This is true my cousin stold his girlfriend her parents couldnt get her back because she was 17 and had a kid already. Its stupid but true.
