Their views are not necessarily contradictory. In the long run, industrialization is the only way known to man to overcome both poverty and overpopulation. In the short run, something should be done about rural poverty...

i dont think that a comparison between the two is possible and even if one does compare them it wouldnt be really fair.
both of them have churned out excellent ways to help their countries. Dr MS (manmohan singh) paved the way for economic reforms of 1990s which were much needed at the time when india was in an economic crises while MY (moh yunus) has helped rural household with his inovation of microcredit. both are of different countries which face different situations. if MS had not unleashed industrialisation at that point then perhaps india would not hav been where it is today and though MY has helped rural people of bangladesh he was never under pressure to steer his country out of financial crisis as our then finance minister MS was.
but by sayin so i do not at all mean that MS is better than MY. i stand by my earlier stand that both hav diverse achievements and can not be compared.

Good question...!!! but rather than comparing and contrasting both these economist, i believe both their aspects of Industialisation and rural poverty upliftment must be treated similarly hand in hand for the benefit and growth of India aswell as Bangladesh...

neither. India needs a balanced growth as was found in Nehruvian period. By now we should define what % of GDP should come from each sector. No one is answering the question in totality
