Social Networking aka MySpace has been one of the more disruptive technologies (KaaZaa, Limewire etc) in existence today; there are many ways to get around these restrictions but they have been put in place primarily to safeguard you the student and secondly decrease the liability for the school. There are many other reasons but most importantly the above.

The student is enrolled in school to educate themselves not to social network over the net during class; I dont mean to pontificate but I bet 99% of the replies to your question will be on similar lines study not waste time browsing.

PS: By far, this is the stupidest question I have seen asked on here by anyone and trust me there are a few doozies in here.

everyone's been saying this. use another proxy(download mozilla and place another proxy server, cuz i know you can't do that on internet explorer at school) otherwise you can just view your (whatever it is ) by using the 'cached' option or by using a foreign search engine.

However, the school district does wiseup after a while and they'll figure out that someone been using a different proxy server and block it. so it you do manage to get it working enjoy it while it lasts.

Har Har. Good luck. Forget about all the popular proxies. Any filter worth it's salt will have those blocked right out of the box. Spend more time earning a good grade it will serve you better than all the chat with your little girlie friends.

The filters are there to protect the school from lawsuits and protect the students from themselves.

Options: Quit school , use the PC at home, OR pay attention in class.

I don't pay taxes so you can screw around on MySpace. You are at school to learn. Do your homework, learn something. No wonder this country is going to hell in a handbasket.

I am sick and tired of sitting in a class and watching everyone updating or replying on myspace. If you guys want to do that, why do you come to the class? Stay home!
Don't want to learn anything and want to distract other studnets who actually come to school to learn!

you can translate a website on babblefish

but you should really be doing something besides looking at myspace at school. All your friends are AT SCHOOL WITH YOU! Go talk to them in person.

Let go of the Myspace... that computer is there to help you LEARN, not vent about boys.
