My sister and my name are on the deed to my fathers property and we want to sell it. He is in a home and wants the property sold also. Does he have any rights to property now that he is in home and only had life-use of property? I live on property. My sister does not. I refuse to stay another winter in this state.

If your father's name is not on the property, you can sell it with no problems. If his name is on the property but you and your sister have power of attorney for him, then you can sell it with no problems. Your Realtor can help with almost any problems you might have.

Head to a local Realtors office and get started. They will do everything you need to have done or direct you to who you do need. Don't bother trying to sell on your own unless you have potential buyers already. You need the expertise that a Realtor can give.

: ) Good Luck !
