13 years K-12 education
4 years college (get good grades and do the pre-dental requirements)
Take the DAT and do well
Go to dental school (4 years)
Go to a residency in orthodontics (2-3 years I think)
You're done!

What? You don't need to go to med school.

You're trying to go to dental school. What major you take doesn't really matter. Just check the dental schools you're interested in and see what prerequisite classes they want. Make sure to take those and you're fine. You may not even need to finish your bachelors for some schools, but for more competitive schools, you essentially do.

Then, you go to dental school. After dental school, you get an orthodontics residency.

You have to go to a 4-year college, then med school, then dentist's school, and then orthodontic training. Then you make tons of money, pay off all the debts, and make kids miserable, all at the same time.
