We're born this way. The gene cluster responsible for homosexuality has been found on the X chromosome. Along with that, the part of the brain that controls sexuality has been definitively found to control orientation as well. Please feel free to read the books I sourced for explanations...
You hear people say "theories" so often because most don't even know that proof is out there. The rest refuse to believe the facts because their own predisposed beliefs say otherwise, this however doesn't negate that it's proven fact.

no you are not gay!! you choose to be gay!! you can be happy with a woman! but i think you feel attraction to men because men tend to have lust and pervert ion in the heart sexually speaking!! Gay is all about sex and nothing more!!

Because you are. That's the way it is. I'm gay too, big deal. that does not define who I am and it doesn't define who you are. It's just an aspect of your life.

Same reason many others have abnormal feelings of attraction. We don't always know the source, or the reason, but we do know there is a choice when it comes to whether or not we will act out those abnormal feelings.
We have the choice to either succumb, or overcome, to any type of abnormal feelings of attraction.

Who knows? There are plenty of theories out there, but no solid scientific evidence yet to really tell us. So, it comes down to what you think, and that's all that matters. Be secure with who you are and live your life accordingly.
