First - part of the joy of having your own place is that you no longer have someone telling you when to go to bed, eat, clean, etc.
1. Cook what you to eat. Starting out, and eating alone, I would recommend lunch meat, chicken strips, microwavable meals, etc. In other words, don't go fixing four course meals.
2. Keep a budget so you know what you can spend. The number one place where people get into trouble living on their own is in this area. Make a list each month of ALL the bills that need to be paid and when the need to be paid. Check each item off as it's paid.
3. Don't stay up all night. You know how much sleep you need to function. Keep it reasonable - especially when you have to work the next day.
4. Cleaning - don't live in a place that looks like it should be considered a disaster area. Do laundry - at least once a week - and put the clothes away immediately. Throw trash away instead of letting it collect.
You're going to do fine. Once the newness wears off, you'll get a handle on everything. In the meantime - enjoy your new freedom!

You've got an easy one. You set aside a certain time to clean every day(depending on your work hours). If you get off work at 5PM. Fix yourself something to eat and catch up on news. Make yourself a list to cross off items as you get them done.
Example:
Wash dishes
Wash, dry, fold, and put away the laundry
Change bed sheets
Dust shelves, furniture, etc.
Vacuum/sweep the floors
Clean the kitchen sink and or oven
Clean the bathtub, sink, toilet
Clean the windows and mirrors
Clean out the refrigerator
Empty the trash cans
You don't need to try and do everything everyday. Just spread it out over a few days and you will start to get a system going in no time. You will add more things to your list as you go along and it will get so routine you won't need a list. Make sure that you do keep a shopping list to mark down things you will be running out of. As far food and cooking, to avoid just eating junk food all the time. Sit down and make a menu up(a variety of meals) for a week at a time and make things that you can eat more than one day. Leftovers are a great way to save money. I always keep leftovers no more than three days and throw away anything older than that. Watch freshness dates on dairy products. Don't panic - you'll be surprised how fast and easy your life will become when you get your own system in place.

First of all get an empty note pad and list all your bills. Figure out what your paying out of each check, then you'll know what you have to live on each week.
Eat what ever you can afford to eat, just keep in mind the bills get paid first, or you won't have a flat to worry about.
If your cooking skills are lacking buy a electric crock pot. They sell complete meals in one bag you simple put them in the crock pot add some water, turn it on and go to work. Should be done when you get home from work. You can also put a roast, potatoes, carrots, onions, etc. in the crock pot, and do as mentioned above.
Clean your home daily and never ever leave dirty dishes laying around, you'll get bugs.
Sleep well it's best to do it before you go to work. so you keep your job.
Just keep this in mind, the condition of your home speaks of the condition of the rest of your life, if your homes a mess then the rest of your life is probably a mess too.
Buy some cook books
Hope this helps, email me if you need too

Try the web site below. It's completely dedicated to people who are living alone with advice and stuff.
If you don't know how to cook, get freezer food. It's fast and easy. You need to clean the bathrooms, the sinks, toilets, shower and bath, floors, counters, dust everything, vacuum, sweep and mop. That's just the beginning! But hey, if it's just you than it shouldn't be that messy, as long as you put things away as you don't need them.
