What do you think of the new age limit of 14 years old to go on the X factor.

I think it's good because now it can give people a chance if they're younger.

Yeah they will have the world at their feet and end up with everything like Britney Spears. Well everything minus the sanity and the hair but apart from that its great.

I don't agree. You said "now it can give people a chance if they're younger." they'll still have a chance in two years! 16 isn't absolutely ancient, you know!
and added to that, legally, you have to be in school until you're 16 and i assume most of the younger x factor contestants have some kind of education to fall back on. a 14 year old wouldn't have any qualifications. it would be a lot harder for them to deal with emotionally as well.
maybe a mini x factor during the summer for under 16's? it could work in the same vein as celebrity x factor.

I think 14 year olds should concentrate on their education. The entertainment industry is hard and I can't see any 14 year olds being able to hack it. If they sing well at 14 so why not wait until they are 17 or 18 and know what they want to be. I certainly didn't know what I wanted to be at 14.

I think it's too young to be involved in that kind of show.

They should be concentrating on getting an education. If they're that good then they can try their luck on the X-Factor or similar when they're older.

So if its 14 now, what was it before,18? Well I dunno, I dont get out much these days but I'm bloody sure some of them were a lot older than that. Some had beards, and some had 'taches, and some of the men did too :~)

i don't agree... kids should be concentrating on their education rather than on becoming famous. if they've got the talent then they will be successful later on in life not when they're a child.

no i think it should still be 16! the younger kids are still at school! also they would find it a lot harder to cope with if they got voted off!
