i feel rather scammed with this change in dates for DST. i read it was approved in 2005 but this is the first i have become aware of the change in dates, seems kind of sneaky to me. yes, supposedly it's to conserve energy but i wonder if it's not some power trip - the legislators do it because they can, and because the special interests wear them down. just my 2 cents - i am generally a nice person but i hate to be manipulated, and i just don't like springing ahead so early!

I agree. I know they said they did it for energy purposes, but it makes it really hard when traveling to other parts of the world. It was hard to explain to my Ecuadorian friends that what used to be a two hour difference is now a three hour difference, even though I hadn't moved or anything. I don't know enough Spanish to effectively explain daylight savings time, and it was just a headache to try. I like what Arizona does---they don't have daylight savings time (hence why they have Arizona State time instead of Mountain Standard Time). I wish the rest of us would get with that.

I just moved from the Pacific time zone to the Mountain Zone three weeks ago, and I'm not used to it yet and now they want to take another hour? Gads, the sun doesn't come up here till after 8 o'clock now. It's really strange seeing kids at the buss stop in total darkness!!!

Definitively. Why does Congress feel the need to disrupt all of our circadian rhythms and generally make the spring clock change like a "Day of the Living Dead"?

If you don't like DST you have two alternatives, Arizona and Hawaii. We don't observe DST and we think the rest of you are nuts for doing so.

I don't care if it is a power trip or not. I just don't like switching twice a year!
