This is NOT just some left-wing conspiracy theory because the link is CNN. News sources Sean Hannity reads when he takes his morning dump report the same incompetence.

Thanks, John Ashcroft. Freak.

I knew someone would respond with "If you've got nothing to hide, why complain".

If Cheney has nothing to hide, why is what happened in the Energy Task Force classified?

opposite to some human beings's beliefs, the Patriot Act has never been needed to hearken to in to human beings's telephone calls. there became a regulation on the books that enable regulation enforcement tap into telephone conversations and information and not using a warrant before. in reality exception is there needed to be likely reason, and then regulation enforcement had to flow to courtroom at a later date. many human beings are unaware of FISA. regulation enforcement continuously had sufficient ability to stop terrorists contained in the u . s .. Patriot Act became no longer something more suitable than a accessible grab.

I think, after having Bush in office all this time, there is very little that surprises Americans any more. We have become used to being despised by countries that were once our friends.. used to feeling unsafe when we travel when anyone finds out we are American, used to the fact that our government spies on us and lies to us... and so much more. Bush has brought us to an all time low in this country...once again I say.. he is the worst president in history.
He wants to be remembered.. he certainly will.. and there will be an expletive in front of his name every time someone says it. How is that for fame, Mr. Bush.

What really takes the cake is the Bush Administration didn't even want the audit process! - something about an unneeded hindrance..........Congress pushed that one through. Tyranny at it's finest.

History has shown time and time again that power granted is power used and power used is power abused.

So no, this is far from a surprise.

When the government expands it's power with no oversight, it doesn't surprise me that they would abuse that power.
If you have nothing to hide, don't worry. Eventually, you will.
