Just wondered if it is possible to get woodworm in chipboard, and if so, what would be the best way to sort the problem out. Thanks

You don't get woodworm in chipboard!!

it's unlikely that you would have any type of infestation in the engineered wood products, as most of them us formaldehyde resins in the manufacturing process. the most common problems with these products is water damage, causing the glues to break down and the wood particles to de-laminate.

it wont be structural so take it out and burn it
