Picking between Pele and Maradona in football is like picking between Gretzki and Lemieux in hockey - close to impossible. Pele is a prolific scorer and won 3 World Cups, but he was on some stellar teams, especially the one in 1970. Maradona won only 1, but without him Argentina does not win at all. I am too young to have seen Pele in action, but I have seen Maradona play. Still, the sheer amount of offense that Pele generated and his completeness as a player - he gets my vote.
