the major two events on which we dont have our controll will be birth and death in morre of mythological context but if life is perceived in the pre destiny perspective or beleive in the karma philosophy then most of the things are out of our controll , rather its more of tryst with destiny .

I would say birth is the only Major Event we have no control of. Everything else is within control to some extent. Some people will day death and taxes. I say if you don't want to pay taxes you don't have to. There are consequences but that doesn't change the fact that you didn't pay them. As for death, you can take your own life therefore controlling that major event.

Well, for most people - who they love and who they hate. It is not that we do not have control over them...it is our ignorance that we think we have no control over them. (Yes, loving someone or hating someone is a "Major Event" - our ignorance makes us blind to that)
As for there importance - they are the most "Major Events" in the World - truth and understanding of love and hate = World Peace. To have World Peace - how major of an event would that be? World Peace or War we have total control over - by starting with ourselves.
Oh, and as for birth and death - Do you remember being born? Guess it couldn't of been that big of a deal if you don't remember...and Death? What's there to remember - your dead. LOL ( Ok - I'm not going to go into the continuation of life thingy, which is often referred to as the 'after life', but 'after life' is really stupid seeing as your still alive - I like to refer to it as like after High School, which is far more shocking than death. Anyway, didn't I say I was not going on about this? :P)
As for taxes...the most major event I have experienced is when I am a few cents short, because of the tax - this usually happens in a convenience store, which would be much more convenient if it was not for taxes.

Conception, life, death, taxes, being thrown from a burning building as an infant, the divorce of parents when a toddler, being in Nagasaki in 1945. Lots of 'major' life events occur over which we have no control.
But since you didn't write 'life' events, I'll stick with the 'major' part of the question.
The creation and destruction of the universe. Can't get more major.

The two major events upon which we have no control are firstly, the thought of death, and secondly, our wish to live forever. I should now prove that this is a euphemistic paradox but something more substantial in the reason of human nature.
This is one of the supreme facts about life that the actual death can be conquered. There is a capacity in human nature that defies death; people give their lives for the sake of higher causes in life, and when we believe in the life after death we in fact beat death out of our existence, we believe that we will live forever; our mind expands beyond the realm of death, to say just a little. And integrated to this is our wish to live forever; we simple cannot stop wondering about things we do not know, and about things beyond out time and place upon earth.
The two things therefore e do not have control over, this speaking within the contact of your question, are the ones I mentioned earlier. And these two things are in fact two faces of the same coin; both belong to the cause of our existence, and our being. We defy a death in the end by living well and dying a glorious death, but we cannot stop thinking about it, which can be more terrifying and deathlike than the actual event of dying; as they say a coward dies many times before his death. And then in response to this is our eternal wish to live forever, because this what life means; life only wants to be lived forever, life itself means, no end in living, and therefore thought of an eternal life. These two major event in my view keep happening in our life most consistently.

Birth & death...so many people have said this already. I wish I could come up with a different answer but this is the right one so I can only concur!

If you are talking conscious control then there seem to be many, birth, death, sickness, accidents Etc.
If you are talking subconscious control, I don't think that there are any.

I would say that there is only one event on which we have no control & that is GOD'S WILL-- as whatever is destined by Him is bound to happen.
