The martian polar melt is a well-known and predicted phenomena. What's going on on Mars is "normal."
That is markedly dissimilar to the current situation on earth where we are experiencing climatological phenomena that fall outside the definition of "normal."
But Listen tomorrow. Limbaugh will probably give you something else to post here.

Most environmentalists agree that our planet cycles through natural warming periods as well as cold periods. It is a fact that has been proven. The ice caps melting on Mars is just an indication that other planets in our solar system go through the same thing.
The argument with global warming is that although the planet does go through warming periods, human beings are accelerating the process with the addition of pollutants that trap heat in the atmosphere.
So just to reiterate, warming happens naturally and in cycles throughout history but with the addition of pollutants created by burning fossil fuels, the process is accelerated.

Al Gore is a moron! back before he started raving about global warming he was freaking out over global freezing! This guy obviously has no knowledge of science or that of other planets. I have heard the same of Mars. Al Gore needs to acctually research every little thing, but he doesnt or he would know that as our planet gets older it gets warmer. Yeah SUV's and factories dont help matters any but they are not the main cause here, because the same thing happening here is happening on Mars and Mars doesnt have SUV's. Also as the Sun gets older it grows and the bigger it gets the warmer we are going to be... its kinda common sense when you think about it... but im not going to get anymore into it because everyone is so touchy over this issue... live your life to its fullest and dont spend every little second freaking out over a theory, thats right global warming is technically just a theory!

They can't. Anything that does not fit with their agenda is thrown away as amusing, or lies, or trying to allow the big corporations to continue to pollute.
Hey ya'll the suns more active, therfore more solar radiation, therefore Earths temp increases, and Mars temps increase. Both experience melting of ice. Pretty bloody simple.

Your right! You have completely proved that global warming is false by using evidence that has nothing to do with the issue. I'm being sarcastic. The truth is CO2 is real, CO2 causes global warming, and humans are contributing CO2 to the atmosphere by burning fossils fuels. That is evidence that actually has to do with the subject.

I don't live on Mars. Therefore, I don't care what's happening there.
The Middle Ages warm-up was barely half of the warm-up of the last few decades. Ooops! Sorry, I mentioned facts without introducing you two first - since you've never met.
Moe, meet facts. Facts, meet Moe.

They'll make up some kind of BS story, maybe the NASA pathfinder missions are causing the polar ice caps to melt. LOL!!!!

The polar ice caps on Mars are a mixture of ice water, and frozen carbon dioxide. They are not comparable to ice caps on planet Earth.

Truth - How is comparing two planets in the same solar system apples and oranges? When the source of heat in system is the same for all planets, it is very logical to determine if Earth warming is solitary event, or if it is happening on other planets as well.
We should be concerned about increase, but to blindly think it is all blamed on mankind is kind of ridiculous.

Are you familiar with the atmosphere on Mars? Pay particular attention to the CO2 levels. Gee, wonder why we're so worried about CO2 emissions.
MARS
*****Carbon dioxide 95.32%
Nitrogen 2.7%
Argon 1.6%
Oxygen 0.13%
Carbon monoxide 0.07%
Water vapor 0.03%
EARTH
75.523% nitrogen
23.133% oxygen
1.288% argon
***** 0.053% carbon dioxide
How do those apples and oranges taste?
