It is largely seen as another in a long series of attempts to weaken the freedom and economic power of the middle class. Driven largely by trust-fund wielding authoritarian and totalitarian left wingers, global warming alarmism is more about restricting human activity and keeping that "uppity" middle class from getting into "our country clubs" than anything else.

Wait, did I miss something? I thought it was a huge issue for the liberals? The entire agenda is being pushed to the forefront by liberals is it not?

Anyway, politically it is a stupid issue because Republicans and Democrats will spend the next 10 years arguing about it and they will do very little about it.

It is up to US the people, to make conscience energy saving choices in order to make a difference. The politicans are full of hot air and therefore a source of global warming rather than a solution so stop looking to them to provide us with any sort of leadership on the issue.

Buy a more fuel efficent car, use the new energy effiecient light bulbs and so on.

Because algore and the American Socialist Party (dems) are using it to cram more taxes and more restrictions on our lives down our throats.

And PETA can shove their call to adopt their vegan religion up a cow's @ss. I'll eat my steak any time I want, and if they succeed in taking away that right, I'll eat vegans (I'll just make sure to cook them well done to kill all the parasites that infect them.

America is for Americans to control, not for UN commies and dictators.

Yup, I'm a little hostile towards all you practicing algore disciples.

Perhaps it's because we're the ones so hypocritically targeted to bear the financial/lifestyle brunt of the proposed changes.

Those that screech loudest about the need for us to change our lifestyle and pony up the money to do so are the same ones that don't practice what they preach.

It's not. It's a burning issue with lefties trying to cram yet another unfounded environmental theory du jour down our throats.

That would be because some people are trying to limit our freedom based on an as-yet unproven theory.

No major Republican candidate for 2008 denies global warming is occuring. Limbaugh trys to debunk it maybe an hour or two every day. Thus, the noise.
