I'm so sleepy and just plain tired. I don't have to pick my son up from school until 3 and it's 11:22 now. I am getting my living room, dining room, and kitchen cleaned out because I will be painting them tomorrow. I just want to sleep because I'll probably start priming tonight. Why do I feel like I need permission to take a nap?

Sounds like you have already put in a good day's work. Take a break, grab a glass of iced tea and rest for a bit. A good nap will give you more energy in the long run. It is important to make sure you get enough sleep every night. They have studies that say we must get at least 8 hours a night.....

Blame your parents and the judeo-christian work ethic. In the US, we are programmed since birth to believe that being idle is improper. My mom used to say 'the devil finds work for idle hands' . Go ahead and nap - my wife just got back from Greece where the whole country shuts down for two hours each afternoon for nap time. No wonder why Mediterranean cultures have lower rates of heart attacks than the rest of the world. You have my permission to take a nap, and while you are at it take one for me too, because I have a list of things to do and a schedule to keep . . .
