It changed all those continents because of the introduction of foods that normally would not have been in certain areas. There would have been no oranges in Florida, no bananas in Ecuador, no paprika in Hungary, no zucchini in Italy, no pineapples in Hawaii, no rubber in Africa, no cattle in Texas, no potatoes in Ireland, no horses in North America, etc. This is how it changed economies in all these places. It made these foods and other things available and became the stapled crops of these areas. When would a person not think of pineapples from Hawaii or oranges from Florida?

Let's see... without looking on Wikipedia, I can say that the Columbian Exchange enriched the landowners in the Americas, at the expense of the natives and/or slaves (not sure what they were using at that point), flooded the Iberian monarchies with gold and silver, thereby devaluing their currencies and leading to even worse conditions for many of their people, and sapped Western Africa of a portion of its population (slavery).

the yank Indians by no potential domesticated very many animals. They have been, in spite of if, large farmers. The substitute from u . s . of america to Europe replaced into greater vegetation then fauna. the only smart domesticated animal i will think of of off the outstanding of my head is the turkey. The record of flora however is dazzling.
