how listening to a certain song can just take you back in time almost. I find this true with a bunch of music, that when i listen to it, it makes it seem like i'm back in that part of my life again. Anyone else feel that way?

Always. Music is great. It's like a friend. It builds your spirits when you are down. It makes you happier when you are already happy. Some songs remind me of things that I normally don't think of or remember. It's great. Sometimes it's better than a photo album. Keep music in your heart. It does wonderful things.

Yip, that's normal. You see, your brain captivates everything you feel and see and smell and even that invironment around you while you are listening to the song. So your brain makes the asociation: every time you hear that song it's gonna make you think of everything you experienced that day you first heard it.

When my sister got married, she walked in on YOU RAISE ME UP by Josh Groban. I was her bridesmaid and I walked in on the first part. Every time i hear the song, it is like i am reliving the moment.

Yes of course, everytime I hear AC/DC Back in Black I remember being in High School, everytime I hear Billy Idol Dancing with Myself I remember being on long camping trips.

Whenever I hear an April Wine song I remember the Montreal Forum and the list goes on and on and on.

I know what you mean, but you should try it with smell...our sense of smell is stronger. I had a friend who bought perfume and saved it to smell at the top of the Eiffel tower and then she through the perfume out, now every time she smells that smell (which is rare) she is instantly back there....little off topic but it still real cool

yes! my dad went thru a country music phase when i was younger, and would listen to Garth Brooks. Since he passed away a few years ago, everytime I hear a Garth Brooks song, it reminds me of happy times when I was little. (which is kind of funny since i hate all other country music!)

Yes, Your brain can take you all the way back in time. You can experience the sounds , smells everything. It's amazing. It doesn't diminish with the passing of time either. Explain that.

Yes. There are plenty of songs that do this to me. There are some songs that I just can't even listen to due to this.
