Social Workers areemployed by the local authority. You can apply for a job spec from your local Town Hall or administration centre. There are so many aspects and career paths in Social Work that it would be better for you to decide what age group you would prefer to work with and start from there. I meet a lot of Social Workers through my role in Juvenile services.

there are all different kind of social workers what kind would you like to work with children do you want to specialize in abused children or handicapped people there are so many types of social worker there all different jobs and that pay different but if you want more info.try going to your welfare office and talking to them cause you need more in fo you don't even know what type of worker you want to be

you need to get a masters. MSW. masters in social work. which is usually 2 years or so after your bachelors. could be less. could be also combines. you will usually need an internship before you get your degree. sometimes you can use ur own job if it is in the field. pay i believe is about 50K or so. good luck!
