In my sociology class we were talking about a serial killer who sliced his victims with very precise surgical incisions so the police thought he might be a doctor or a butcher. Does anyone know the name of this guy? I need to know for a homework assignment.

To this day the still really do not know what his real name was, because they never caught him...but I think you are talking about Jack the Ripper...he took out the organs of his victims...

Would need additional information as to location and era as there have been more than one. For example:
In the 1880's in England.
In America there was the "Cleveland Torso Killer" in the late 1930's.
Neither of the above was ever caught.
In recent times in India, Moninder Singh, where the bodies of 22 women/children have been found around his house.

Jack the ripper will be my inmediate response but your research well because they are others serial killers who copied him, it will be good if you can find out the time period your professor is talking about, did it involve prostitutes?,etc do your research, before assuming it was jack the ripper
