Stop saying "we cut taxes and now we have deficits." We cut tax RATES and tax REVENUE is UP. AGAIN. We have high deficits because Bush and Congress have INCREASED SPENDING even faster than they've increased revenue.

If you get a $4K raise at work and you buy a $5K boat, the problem isn't your job, it's your spending!

If you got a $4K raise at work but the currency was devalued by $5K by adding debt to the economy, you would have lost purchasing power, not gained it.

As to the tax cuts. Great if you are in the $300,000 and above income group you did pretty well. My guess is you are not in that club and so found yourself with a tax cut of about $600/year that was offset by higher costs of everything.

Increase in Federal tax revenue? Sure, you paid it. If you think I'm kidding, and you really did get that big tax break, why don't you have any money in your savings account?

I completely agree. But are you arguing for the spending? Or are you just correcting those who incorrectly say the tax cuts causes the deficit? But it could be argued that if you increased taxes in the right ways, they could bring in even more revenue then now, and maybe cut the deficit.

Truely...Washington is spending too much money and putting the nation is greater debt.

The government is so careless with money! Not very good money management eh?

The key is to force the government to control and severly reduce rediculous spending is by not paying taxes at all...which is what I do because Congress never got the authority to tax my wages anyway.

Who are you, Ann Coulter? This semi-liberal has been talking about the spending problem for years. It seems strange that you'd admit to the Republican party's problems, and then somehow blame the liberals for them.

This is the usual--republicans spend billions more than democrats do when they are in control, but everytime a democrat gives money to a social program someone starts yelling "tax and spend".

Hmm... Are liberals running out of lies? No one will ever run out of lies as long as Fox News is around!

They supply all kinds of lies to credulous folk - and then those folk go post on Yahoo! Answers asking if liberals are running out of lies.

People on here, on t.v., on the radio, in magazines, etc... have said over and over that Bush's spending is out of control. What exactly is your point... Bush's spending being out of control is certainly NO lie.

What difference does it make why we have a several trillion dollar deficit? The fact is that we have it and need a solution to not have it. How it was created is irrelevant.
