It depends where you live. In some markets the seller or landlord pays the commission. So, you can still ask a Real Estate agent to see if they would help you. They don't make much money on it, but nowadays when many sit with no business at all someone might be willing to help you.
But don't disregard local newspapers, those are pretty helpful too.
