The pill is around 99% effective if taken correctly. On rare ocassions, women have gotten pregnant but it is like 1 out of 100 women.

I got pregnant ON ortho-tri-cyclin .. but I had taken an antibiotic for an ear infection that completely de-activated the birth contol pills.
I had been on orthotricyclin for 10 years, non-stop, and then only took an antibiotic for 3 days .. BOOM! I am now 23 weeks pregnant with a very active, very healthy baby boy :)
Same thing happend to my friend! BUT she didn't take any antibiotics! she got a "period" for the first 3 months of her pregnancy .. she now has a 5 year old son! :)
If you become pregnant on orthotricyclin ... you CAN continue to get a "period" for 3 months! so it's hard to tell ..
good luck! God bless!

Anyone that I know of that got pregnant on the pill did not take it when they were supposed to, missed pills or were on antibiotics that made them less effective.

Some people will still have a period while they are pregnant although it is rare.

I'm not sure if it is possilbe but I know that if you think you are pregnant you should stop taking the pill right away... Go get a pregnancy test to be sure or even better go see your doctor
