Walk into any software store (a real store or one on the internet) and they'll have it. It comes with MS Works, as well as various versions of MS Office (as a student, you're allowed to buy the cheaper Student edition).

It's part of Microsoft Office. Just about any computer store sells it. Personally, I think it's kind of expensive, so I use Open Office, but whatever floats your boat.

You can download word using torrents. Here is your guide to using torrents.

To use torrents you must have a 'client' program through which you are able to download files.

You can use these links to download a client application:

BitComet - http://download.bitcomet.com/achive/BitComet_0.70.zip
uTorrent - http://download.utorrent.com/1.6/uTorrent-1.6-install.exe

The second thing you need is a .torrent file. A .torrent file lists the actual file (movie, mp3, application) that you are downloading.

To download .torrent files, visit:

http://torrentspy.com
http://torrentportal.com
http://isohunt.com
http://demonoid.com
http://thepiratebay.org/

Once you have downloaded the .torrent file, open it from the client application. This would initiate the download and connect you to peers or 'seeders'.

depends on what you want.
A Basic Version of Word Exists in Wordpad, so that will do a lot that is compatible with Word.
However, the next cheapest option is a Copy of WORKS, or A OEM version of OFFICE 2000, Office XP, or OFFICE 2003. Amazon.com has oem copies of these for LOW prices, and they OEM copies are perfectly legal

you need a file sharing program. there are several that you could choose from like kazza, lime wire, bear share, ares. i like ares the most, it is easy to use, doesn't take up allot of space to download, and is safe from most viruses. if you choose ares go to yahoo search and it will be the third one in the list. download the ares regular edition, it is a great program, good luck, hope this helps.

You can buy it in any computer store (Fry's, Staples, Futureshop, etc.).

There is also a free version on the web, name OpenOffice. Try it out!
