Why do women's vaginas have a fish smell to them? Are there commom proteins, oils, hormones, or enzymes in a womens vagina that are found in fish? If a woman wanted to ensure that it didn't smell like that(say before her man went down on her), could she use lemon juice? What other methods could be used?

OK, kids. This is a real question, so enough of the, "ew, your g-friend must not be clean", BS. If you've never experienced a little fish smell from any vagina, then it's questionable just how much vagina YOU'VE had, because it is a well known phenomenon which does exist. If you've heard it here for the first time, then go back to your lotion and magazines until you know what I'm talking about.

there was just an article about this in a magazine i subscribe to this it what it says...
"if it smells fishy it's probably a bacterial vaginosis an infection you get when the natural bacteria inside your vagina over multiply..or an STD like trichomoniasis....what to do.. see a doctor . just a few days on an antibiotic can clear up the infection and smell.

Hope it helped!

I would not recommend using a lemon. If the vagina smells like fish then there is most likely an infection.

That fish smell story is mostly BS, I've been down on alot of women and I've never had one smell like fish.

wft? no, as long as she is clean there should not be a problem! if your girlfriend stinks you might want to tell her to go to the docotor, or maybe wash herself before you have sex!
