Okay my dad thinks that girls don't watch a lot of Porno like guys do, he's right on that, but I also said to him that a few girls, Just only a few watch it a lot like most men out there and get turned on by just watching it... I said to him that they can be obsessed with it.
He says that's a lie, women aren't turned on by porn...I countered it by saying "Dad, a few girls do get turned on by it, the girls from 50's and 60's aren't the same as the girls we have today.
He mentions that all girls in general aren't obsessed with Porn...The women that enter the Porn business are doing it for only the Money.
They aren't only doing it for money I told him, they also do it for pleasure and excitement, and that can lead to an obsession with sex, sex, sex, with most females in the Porn industry.
He disagrees with it, he still thinks that all women in general think like women... That's not 100% true, there are a few women that think like men, and become just as wild as them.

As a woman, here are my thoughts on this subject:
Your dad is QUITE wrong. Women do like porn. Do women like the same porn that men do? Not generally. That's not to say that they all don't- I know lots of women who like raunchy porn made by men, targeted at men (myself included). But a lot of women do enjoy softcore porn, the type made by women, targeted at women, because it's less misogynistic, because it features more attractive men, it usually has some sembalance of a plot, and focuses on women's pleasure. There's a general myth out there that women don't like porn, because they're less visual and more romantic than sexual, but that isn't true. Women simply have different buttons that need to be pushed, and most men's porn doesn't push those buttons. But I think a good majority of women would be welcoming to the right type of porn, if they knew it was out there. And a good deal love all porn; I know, I've heard from many women.
There are definitely women out there who are as raunchy and wild as men.
However, starring in porn isn't the same as watching it. I'd have to generally agree with your dad on that- women that enter the porn business are mostly doing it for the money. Some, I'm sure, get pleasure out of it, but for most women, starring in porn made for men, it doesn't do much for them; usually, the orgasms are faked. In some porn, I'm sure it's enjoyable for the women, but those are few and far between. Even for men, porn is work. You aren't getting to have sex with someone you find hot, it's having to perform sexually with someone you may or may not like and find sexy in a room full of strangers who are watching and barking orders. Porn is usually edited, involves a lot of shifting and posing to get camera angles . . . suffice to say, it's a LOT different from what happens in the bedroom with someone you love. Work is work, regardless of whether you're filing, answering the phone, or having sex on camera, you know?
Hope that helps.

Even though your dad sounds like a good father (the fact that you all can discuss sexuality), I have to disagree with him.
As you pointed out, women are a lot different today than they were decades ago. We have more freedom to explore sexuality and not just be confined to doing whatever men want us to do. We can actually take over and be in control, and most men are thrilled by that.
I watch porn, and I damn sure love it. I know some guys who are turned off by porn and rather have the real thing. Some men I know think it's dirty. It all depends upon a person's sexual drive. And it can also depend upon a woman's self-esteem. Many women are against it and use excuses like "it's dirty" to cover up the fact that they are self-conscious about their own bodies. Seeing another woman on TV that has a better body than they hurts their self-image. They also know that their boyfriends watch porn and women tend to think that they've become unattractive just because they don't look like a porn star. I think some men think this way, too, regarding male porn stars.
All in all, I agree with everything you've said. It just depends on the individual's sex drive and limits ;-)

People used to think women didn't enjoy sex, my boyfriend is convinced that no one over the age of 30 would ever admit to enjoying sex or have sex for reasons other than to have a child.
They're wrong, women do enjoy sex, even if they don't all admit it, and women can be just as turned on by porn as men.

You're right, the numbers of woman who watch porn has steadily been growing for years. The numbers are not quite as high as for men but it is astronomical in comparison. Woman watch for a similar reason that men do - with men its the fantasy aspect for they dream of being with a woman, or more than one, that in their eyes are beautiful, slender, exciting, daring, enthusiastic about pleasing them. Woman on the other hand is about the fantasy as well - and this is where its different - the woman's body is set-up a lot differently than men, like I had to tell you that :), but the sexuality zones and areas, parts to be stimulated are totally different, woman were set up to have multiple orgasms to be pleasured for hours on end, they have a reserve of endorphins (the natural pleasure and anti-pain drug we all have in our bodies) unlike men and un-equalled as well. Woman watch to stimulate these centers for longer and longer period of times to feel "GOOOD", that's why alot of the porno stars that we see are addicted to drugs and why most of the men porno stars aren't their is a totally different part of the brain that is being stimulated by watching pornography. Try not to get caught up with watching it, instead train yourself to just use your imagination instead of your eyes it will save you a lot of problems down the road.

Like stated previously, it sounds like your dad might be sexist. Old-fashioned in the least. But I wouldn't know if it's really true that they get turned on by porn. I'm into men.

I watch porn probably once a week or every other week and it turns me on. I'm probably just as dirty minded as any guy. Your father would be horrified if he saw the stuff that goes on inside my head.

Your dad sounds like an old-fashioned sexist. He would be amazed at the things that can turn a woman on.
