Do NOT use the refill kit! I did once & it ruined my printer. My sister's father in law does that & his printer is royally messed up! Buy new. Trust me on this. Everyone I ever knew that used refill kits have messed up their printers. As far as price yeah the refills are cheaper, but are you willing to front the money for a brand new printer everytime you use a refill kit?

there is really no difference other than price of replacement cartridges. the refill kits are allot less but some require that you inject the ink into the old cartridges with some sort of needle which i am not sure where to get . i have heard that any cartridge can be refilled , so i suppose they make a kit that will allow you to refill your cartridges, maybe you could find one on line or on eBay. as far as better i think the refills would be. i mean the price makes all the difference, ink is ink.

The answer really depends on your printer. Some companies now make clear spongeless cartridges for the purpose of re-filling them and saving lots of $$ on ink. These refillable cartridges are quite stable compared to trying to re-fill a standard cartridge. Refilling a standard cartridge could actually damages it and could cause it to leak ink all over your printer and over valuable parts of your printer.
Check a website like www.inksupply.com to see if they make a re-fillable clear cartridge for your printer. If they do, then I highly recommend them as I have used them on my printers for the last 2 years with no problems. If your printer isn't listed, then I would suggest buying new.

Buy new. The problem with refill kits is that one, they may not even be available for your model printer and two, I've never seen one that is 100% effective and may end up damaging the cartridges or printer. There are "good" refill kits but none I would label "excellent" or "great". Even if it does work, chances are the ink is of lower quality. If you don't want to pay store prices, you could always order your cartridges online or buy them in bulk online.

It may be cheaper to have your existing cartridge refilled. But there is nothing wrong with spending a few extra bucks to get a brand new toner cartridge.
My suggestion on where to go for a refill would be office max. They are the cheapest.

Sell old ink cartriges to stores like staples. Use the money to buy new ones. Its like its free! Though you might have to chip in some $.

In most Cases New is Good. However, if you can get a refill to work, then go ahead. I have seen pros and cons either way.
Basically do what works... thats the best rule of thumb
