Loving someone is very fullfilling, being loved back even more so, but.......
To just live for this one thing, this love ,to fixiate on this as the only fullfillment, will burn you out.
There are so many other fullfilling aspects in anyones live, and love is the so called icing on the cake to make it all a whole.
That's what I think....smile

If the love was reciprocated...then it would be wonderful and make me very happy...but no it wouldn't fulfill me b/c life is not a romance novel. Life is more than just loving one person...which is why if say you are married just loving your spouse isn't going to fulfill your whole life...you need other things in life...

I don't think so. I need more. I can't imagine being in a situation where I am the one who loves and it is not returned. I have had a couple of relationships like that and they are unfair. The expectations are way too high. I have expected them to feel the way I felt, consider me the way I consider them, respect me the way I respect them. Every one has fallen short and I have found myself not looking anymore for things I don't think exist. I am investing time in someone, right now, who is more important, anyway. ME

Reciprocal love is nice. I also think that people can love each other and just not be very compatible. I think you need both to have a really lasting bond. And I don't mean compatibility like you are exactly alike. Compatibility can mean that your similarities and differences fit in together and you accept one another for your differences as well.

I haven't found anything in life that fulfills me the way that loving someone and taking care of them does. I find that I live my life thinking about him and what he might like and what might please him. There's nothing more important to me than his approval and love.

to be loved back would make it complete but I won't oblige that to happen. Love is not about that stuff..........Because love does'nt demand a payback
