Any $0.99 store has plungers. If you can't afford? $0.99 (plus tax - $1.07), use drain cleaner 'gel' which costs a whole lot more than $1.07. Guess we're right back where we started from.

Mmmkay... not having a plunger is definitely not a good idea. You might try letting the toilet sit for a bit, until the water drains away (may take anywhere from five minutes to an hour). Then get a bucket of water and flush the toilet and dump in the water at the same time. The extra pressure should unclog the toilet.

Definitely this will not continue for three days. You need another drain that is large to dump some of the contents (preferrably another toilet) and can try to add hot water to soften up what is plugging the toilet. (won't work if it is a solid object or products like paper towels or tampons)
If the main line is clogged using the sink would show the water going down that drain and making the toilet level rise.....
Sometimes if I can see the obstruction I do reach down and retreive the object clogging the toilet. If it continues frequently you need to purchase a toilet plunger or try to flush before too much material would clog the toilet.

Go buy a plunger that is the best way. This is gross but also has worked for me, let it sit a few days until the stuff dissolves and then try flushing again but you could end up with it coming up all over so be prepared.

I have a friend who unclogged it by using his hand as a plunger and forcing water through the drain (eww!). You might try opening up a clothes hanger, straightening it out and trying to unclog it that way.
Go to the 7-11 and buy a plunger

You could go to the store and buy a plunger. They're not expensive.
Alternately, if you're single and have a male friend/neighbor, you could probably get him to help fix the problem.

Why isn't anyone suggesting a pourable remedy like Liquid Plumber? I think its the best one if you pour it slowly but there are several good ones out there. You may have to do it twice, but at least you can fix it. Remember to pour it s l o w l y so it has a chance to "grab" onto the clog.
