There are human milk banks where people who are unable to breastfeed can obtain human milk to feed to their preemie babies, but unfortunately to number of donors and milk banks is not sufficient to supply all of the needs.

In an 'ideal' world, stores would sell human milk, pasteurised and screened (in the infant nutrition aisle) as this would be a far superior source of nutrition for babies whose mothers could not or did not want to breast feed.

The funny thing is, why is everyone so grossed out by this - I mean you drink the breast milk from ANOTHER SPECIES! how gross is that?

It would be better than the toxic commercial cows milk they are selling, thats full of steroids and growth hormones. But think about it, most people would be grossed out drinking some womans breast milk, but they don't think twice about drinking it from a cow thats raised in horrid conditions. Strange

Dude, do you know how awkward and slave-like it would be to be milked? Honestly, do you think any women really wants to be eternally pregnant? Can you honestly say that you could and would drink that milk? I doubt it. That's my answer, enbodied in a question.

Good question...it's even better for you than cows' or goats' milk.
Maybe because not many would want to drink it, so the company wouldn't make much of a profit ?
